Big accident in Bihar! 2 youth lost their lives after boat capsized in pond

On the day of Chhath Puja in Bihar, the atmosphere full of happiness turned into mourning in a moment. Here, two boys died when their boat capsized during Chhath Puja in Pachbhinda pond of Taraiya police station area of ​​Saran district. This accident happened when some people were crossing the pond to offer Arghya. According to the information, there were more people sitting in the boat than its capacity due to which this accident occurred. The deceased have been identified as Bittu Kumar Singh and Suraj Kumar Manjhi, both of whom were 19 years old.

Pankaj, nephew of deceased Bittu, told that despite the boat having a hole in it, the sailor had boarded 12-13 people in the boat. The boat was filled with water and the sailor was trying to drain the water. During this time the boat lost its balance and overturned. But sailor Sudish Sahni threw his mobile on the shore and escaped by swimming. Someone standing on the river bank made a video of this incident and made it viral on social media.

Crying condition of family members is bad

The villagers reached the spot and saved the lives of many people, but Bittu and Suraj could not be saved. Bittu was the sole breadwinner of his family and Suraj was a bright student. Due to late arrival of the ambulance, the local people blocked the road. After reaching the spot, SHO Ashutosh Kumar convinced the people and got the road opened. After the incident, the relatives of the deceased are in bad condition and crying.

SHO Ashutosh Kumar of Taraiya police station said that both the bodies have been sent to Chapra Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. After necessary investigation by the Circle Officer, an assistance amount of Rs 4 lakh each will be given to the families of the deceased from the Disaster Relief Fund. The police have taken possession of the boat and started investigating the case and based on the statement of the family members, a case is being registered.
