The makers of Priyadarshi starrer Sarangapani Jathakam released their first single on Saturday. Vivek Sagar is the music composer for the upcoming entertainer.
Popular Bollywood singer Armaan Malik is the playback singer for ‘Sarango Saranga,’ which is an upbeat number, very eclectic in its composition with interesting use of the strings section and electronic beats. The lyrics are penned by veteran songwriter Ramajogayya Sastry. Vivek Sagar has composed music for films like Darling and 35 – Chinna Katha Kaadu earlier this year, both of which incidentally starred Priyadarshi.
The music video is choreographed (by Dinesh) in an equally novel style, with Priyadarshi’s character dancing with people from many walks of life, including a few temple priests. Written and directed by Mohanakrishna Indraganti, Sarangapani Jathakam features Priyadarshi playing an astrologer.
The film also stars Roopa Kodavayur in the lead cast. Actors like VK Naresh, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, Viva Harsha, Sivannarayana, Vadlamani Srinivas, Pradeep Rudra, Roopa Lakshmi, and IMAX Venkat are part of the supporting cast. The editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh, and cinematography is by PG Vinda.
Sarangapani Jathakam also marks the third collaboration between Mohanakrishna and producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, after Gentleman and Sammohanam. Upon its release, the film will clash at the box office against Nithiin-Sree Leela starrer Robinhood.
