Actually, a very difficult dance number was to be shot on Rekha in the film. At that time, Saroj Khan was responsible for the choreography of the film. He had only three days to prepare the song. In such a situation, he asked the producer to call Rekha on the set for rehearsal, so that complete preparation for the dance could be done before the shooting.

But it is said that at that time Rekha refused to come to the rehearsal citing her ill health. Three days later, when the day of shooting of the song came and Rekha reached the set, Saroj Khan called her again for rehearsal. However, that day also Rekha refused to attend the rehearsal saying that she was not well and today’s shooting should be cancelled.

Hearing this, Saroj Khan got very angry. She went straight to Rekha and expressed her displeasure to her in clear words. In her interview, Saroj Khan had told that she told Rekha, “Rekha ji, it seems you have some allergy with me. When I call you for rehearsal, you do not come and when you come on the day of shooting, you say that you are not well. If you do not want to work with me, then you can ask the producer to change the dance master.”

Hearing this from Saroj Khan, the atmosphere suddenly became serious. He told that when he looked towards Rekha, he had tears in his eyes. Rekha became emotional after hearing this and started crying while standing there. However, Saroj Khan also stuck to her words and told him that she did not think he had said anything wrong and the shooting should definitely happen today.

After some time, Rekha controlled herself and replied, “I will shoot.” Saying this she left from there. Later, Rekha’s secretary came to Saroj Khan and asked her what she had said to Rekha that she was crying on the set.
