Sarpanch-village heads stopped the hookah water of a family, appealed to the collector | News India – ..

Kanker, 8 October (Hindustan Reporter). In village Jepara under Charama block of the district, a fine has been imposed on a family for switching off their hookah water and going to their house and talking to them. 12 members of a family today appealed to the Kanker Collector for more justice. Family member Jitendra Kumar Sinha said that we are demanding a solution to the issue of hookah water supply being stopped in the village. We had ancestral property in the village. Houses have been built on that land, due to which the Gram Panchayat Sarpanch and heads have been angry and have stopped the hookah water supply. It has been 12 days that no one comes to our house nor talks to us.

Geetanjali Sinha, a girl from the family, told that our hookah water supply has been stopped in the village by taking a unilateral decision. If anyone is found talking, a fine of Rs 15,000 will be imposed. A reward of Rs 5,000 has been announced for reporting the matter. Our source of income is a shop, no one is coming there. The family members have alleged that they are also being threatened. It is noteworthy that the family members have also made a video in which a villager is roaming around on a bicycle giving information that the supply of hookah water to Jitendra Sinha and his family will be closed and the coming and going will also be stopped. After the entire matter came to light, the administration is now asking to talk to the villagers.

Sarpanch of Jepra, Bhagwat Netam said that hookah water has not been stopped, it is just that the people of the village do not talk. Construction work has been done on Gudi’s land in the village, which the family refused to accept. That is why the people of the village do not talk about it.
