This Muslim country made friendship with India, sent millions of barrels of oil in 4 tankers amid Iran war, general public will get relief

Saudi Arabia-India Relation: Today is the 19th day of the US-Israel and Iran war. Along with this, the ongoing conflict is becoming more frightening day by day. On the front that is burning due to the fierce attacks by America and Israel, Iran is also carrying out rapid attacks on American military bases present in the entire Gulf countries including Israel. Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz. Due to this, even oil coming from Gulf countries is not able to reach India. Amidst the war with Iran, Muslim country Saudi Arabia has maintained friendship with India. Overcoming all obstacles, Saudi Arabia has sent millions of barrels of oil to India in 4 tankers.

In fact, due to closure of the Strait of Hormuz, Saudi Arabia has started sending oil to India via the Red Sea. Many tankers have left for India from Yanbu Port in Saudi Arabia with oil. With the arrival of oil, the supply of oil in India will remain continuous, which will provide relief to the general public.

According to a report, at present four big tankers are coming towards India, which contain about 60 lakh barrels of oil. An additional 9 million to 10 million barrels of oil is expected to arrive by the end of the month. Typically about 20 percent of the world’s total oil trade passes through the Strait of Hormuz. India also imports most of the oil from Gulf countries through this route. However, due to attacks on ships by Iran, this route has now become unsafe. For this reason Saudi Arabia has adopted an alternative path.

The oil is first brought to Yanbu through a pipeline, which is about 1200 kilometers long, and then sent from there through tankers. However, this new path also has its limitations. The capacity of the pipeline is low, so not as much oil can be sent as is sent via Hormuz.

Danger near Bab el-Mandeb

Apart from the Strait of Hormuz, Bab al-Mandeb is also under threat amidst the ongoing war in Iran. Houthi rebels have previously attacked ships here. In such a situation, even the Red Shee route is not considered completely safe. Nevertheless, in the current situation, this step is going to be a relief for India, because it will continue the oil supply and reduce the energy crisis.
