Sausage Recalled Nationwide Due to Metal Contamination

  • FSIS recalled Olympia Provisions Uncured Holiday Kielbasa over possible metal contamination.
  • Affected 16-ounce vacuum-sealed kielbasa has a best-by date in February 2026.
  • Sold nationwide online and at retail locations in three states; no injuries reported.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) just announced a recall on ready-to-eat kielbasa sold nationwide. This is due to a potential foreign matter contamination.

The sausage being recalled is Olympia Provisions Uncured Holiday Kielbasa sold in 16-ounce, vacuum-sealed plastic packaging with a best-by date of February 19, 2026. The affected packages also have establishment number “EST. 39928” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The recalled kielbasa was available nationwide through online direct-to-consumer sales and was sold at retail locations in California, Oregon and Washington.

This recalled followed a consumer complaint of finding a metal fragment in the Olympia Provisions kielbasa product. While there are no additional reports or any injuries connected to this recall, contact a healthcare professional with any concerns.
