Umang says that in November 2025, he got a loan of Rs 25 lakh under ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Self-Employment Scheme’ through the District Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Centre. With this financial assistance he started his business.

Business increased due to mustard oil production

Umang started the work of mustard oil production, which is progressing rapidly today. 10 to 15 quintals of mustard is crushed daily in his unit. The oil prepared by them is not only being sold in the local market but is also reaching the customers through online platforms. This has expanded the scope of their business and also strengthened their brand identity.

This venture of Umang has become a source of employment not only for him but also for other people. Presently 5 people are working in his oil mill. After deducting the cost from the sale of about 500 to 600 liters of oil every month, he is getting a net income of about Rs 70 thousand. This success shows that when given the right direction and support, youth can progress to a great level.

‘Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme’ has become a big opportunity for the youth of the state. Under this scheme, loans are given to youth on easy terms, so that they can start their own business.
