School Holiday: UP schools extend winter break amid cold wave
New Delhi: The state of Uttar Pradesh is witnessing a dip in temperature so schools in many regions specifically in Sambal, Bareilly, Badaun, Moradabad, Rampur and others have extended their winter break, as reported by IE.
As per the latest information, schools in Badaun will remain closed till January 17. In Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, and Shahjahanpur schools were closed till today, January 16. While in Bareilly, Kasganj, Sonbhadra and Basti the winter holidays in schools were till January 15. In Meerut, Mathura, Kanpur, Agra, Varanasi, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Amethi, Barabanki, Gorakhpur, and Ballia the winter break in schools was till January 14.
In Moradabad and Rampur, the school timings for Class 9 to Class 12 have been changed and were ordered to be conducted from 10 AM to 3 PM amid the temperature rise.
Moreover in Ghaziabad, the district magistrate, Indra Vikram Singh ordered to extend winter vacations for Class 1 to Class 8 till January 18.
Delhi school holiday
On Wednesday, the Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi ordered all schools to conduct classes in hybrid mode, except for Class 10 and Class 12. Following the implementation of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) 4 in Delhi-NCR the decision was taken.
The official notice reads, ‘All Heads of Schools of Govt., Govt. Aided, Unaided Recognized Private Schools of DoE, NDMC, MCD and Delhi Cantonment Board are directed to conduct classes in schools for children up to Class IX & XI in a ‘Hybrid Mode’ i.e., both in physical and online mode (wherever online mode is feasible) with immediate effect until further orders.’
