Scream 7: Release date, cast and more about the highly-anticipated horror film
New Delhi: After courting much controversy, Scream 7 has finally started with its shoot. Scream series made its grand comeback with Scream 5 in 2023, minting $139 million at the global box office. The makers then released Scream 6 which became an even bigger hit and earned $169 million gross. And now, the film is set to enthral audiences next year with its upcoming installments.
As Scream 7 officially starts filming, let’s explore the exciting details about the highly-anticipated movie. Meanwhile, for those who don’t know, the film faced troubles in pre-production after Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega exited the franchise. According to reports Melissa was fired from the movie over her comments on the Gaza conflict.
Scream 7 cast
Actor and comedian Joel McHale and Jasmin Savoy Brown have joined the cast of the upcoming movie, Scream 7. They joined Mason Gooding, who will essay the role of Mindy’s brother Chad. Mindy is also the first queer character in the franchise. Scream veterans Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox have also returned to the franchise to reprise their roles as Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers. Meanwhile, Joel McHale will be playing the role of Sidney’s husband. Other cast members include Isabel May as Sidney’s daughter, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Reschner and Anna Camp.

Scream 7 release date
The horror movie, Scream 7is scheduled to release in theatres on February 7, 2026. Directed by Kevin Williamson, it is produced by Spyglass Entertainment. It will be released worldwide by Paramount Pictures.
About Scream franchise
The first Scream movie, directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson, premiered in 1996. The next installment was released in 1997, followed by the third in 2000. Scream 4 was released in 2011.
