SC's big order regarding 'clock' election symbol, asked Ajit Pawar to print 'pending in court' advertisement in 36 hours
Mumbai: Regarding the clock election symbol, the Supreme Court has asked Ajit Pawar to publish a disclaimer in the newspapers within 36 hours that the matter of the clock election symbol is pending in the court. The Supreme Court said that this disclaimer should be printed especially in Marathi newspapers. The court also said that Ajit Pawar should also file an affidavit regarding compliance with the order. The next hearing of the case will now take place on November 13. Sharad Pawar has demanded to ban NCP Ajit Pawar faction from using clock election symbol in Maharashtra Assembly elections. However, even today the court has not given any such order. Sharad Pawar says that the Supreme Court had asked the Ajit Pawar group to write below the clock election symbol in their advertisements that the matter is still pending in the court, but this order is not being followed.
Ajit Pawar group's argument
Senior advocate Balbir Singh, appearing for Ajit Pawar, told the bench headed by Justice Surya Kant that he was following the previous orders of the court. He has also filed its photo. He told the court that he was also going to give advertisements in newspapers with a new disclaimer. On this the court said that why is it taking so much time to print the disclaimer in the newspaper?

What did Sharad Pawar's lawyer say
Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Sharad Pawar, said that the Ajit Pawar faction has deleted many of its videos which were released without any disclaimer. But still people associated with Ajit Pawar are showing videos of Sharad Pawar, in which the watch is still on. He told the court that their leaders are saying that nothing will happen in the court.
Sharad Pawar has filed a petition
The bench of Justices Surya Kant, Dipankar Dutta and Ujjwal Bhuyan had asked Ajit Pawar's lawyer to file a fresh affidavit of the Ajit Pawar faction and also asked to comply with the orders. He was warned that if he violated it, a contempt case would be initiated against him. Sharad Pawar faction has said in its petition that Ajit Pawar faction is not following the orders of the court. Therefore, they should not be allowed to use the clock symbol.
