New Delhi: The latest K-drama in the scene, Family By Choicestarring Hwang In-youp, Jung Chae-yeon, Bae Hyun-sung, Choi Won-young and Choi Moo-sung, was nothing less of a rollercoaster for its viewers. While Hwang In-Youp’s presence in K-drama surrounded immense hype, the show surpassed all expectations and became one of the best shows to premiere in 2024.
Family By Choice revolves around the story of three leads, Kin San-ha, Yoon Ju-won, and Kang Jae-jun take the viewers on a unique journey of sibling rivalry, to friend-next-door lovers trope. Fans have been anticipating the end of the show, hoping for a happy ending. Well, fans can now rest in peace as after its finale episode, the trio has successfully had a happy fairytale ending. Now, fans have been wondering if they would be able to see the trio again. Here is what we think.
Family By Choice gets a happy ending!
Adapted from a Chinese drama, Go Aheadthe show emerged as one of the most popular shows this season. Kicking off with its first episode on October 9, this 16-episode series ended on November 27, 2024. Family By Choice soared up the charts with its incredible performance, storytelling and on-screen chemistry among the cast. The characters explore their childhood, teenage and adulthood with heartwarming moments that have the fans in a chokehold. The main of the show follows the trope ‘family comes first’ as San-ha Ju-won, and Jae-jun find each other despite coming from different families.

Will there be Family By Choice season 2?
If you are yet to watch the show, we will spare you spoilers and simply conclude that Family By Choice has a happy ending! That’s right, you can now binge-watch the show in peace knowing that San-ha and Ju-won and all the other beloved characters are destined to have it all. For those unversed, Family By Choice has been streaming on Viki. The season finale episode is now out to stream!
So, as the characters have found their happiness with each other, there is little to no room left for the plot to develop any further. So, the chances of a season 2 are highly unlikely. Neither the makers nor the cast have hinted at a sequel. It is to be noted that the original Chinese drama, also does not have a second season.
