Seema's first husband is yearning to meet his children, appeals to Foreign Minister Jaishankar
New Delhi. Ghulam Haider, the first husband of Seema Haider, who came to India from Pakistan, has sought help from the Indian government for the custody of his four children. Ghulam has appealed to Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar to meet the children and keep them with him.

Seema's first husband Ghulam Haider said in a video message that he has not been able to see his children since 2023. Ghulam Haider, who works in Saudi Arabia, claimed that Seema had forcibly converted the children. He alleged that the children are stranded in India because of the border and are not getting a chance to return to Pakistan. Ghulam Haider sought help from Pakistani human rights activist Ansar Burney and appointed a lawyer to seek custody of the children in an Indian court. However, the matter is still pending.

Seema Haider is a resident of Jacobabad in Sindh province of Pakistan. In May 2023, she came to India from Karachi via Nepal with her four children. In July 2023, Seema and Sachin were caught by Indian authorities in Greater Noida, UP on charges of coming to India illegally. Seema was accused of illegally entering India, while Sachin was booked for harboring an illegal migrant. However, both of them later got bail. Both of them got married and Seema converted to Hinduism.
