Senior players of the Indian team will return to domestic cricket, Mohammed Siraj was dropped from the Champions Trophy.

After the 1-3 defeat against Australia, many senior players of the Indian cricket team will be seen participating in domestic cricket. Key players like captain Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer will play in Ranji Trophy. However, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are out of the race due to injury. At the same time, other players will be seen playing in the T20 series against England.

After the announcement of the Indian team for the Champions Trophy on Saturday, Mohammed Siraj has been dropped from the team, which has happened after a long time. Hyderabad Cricket Association was contacted to know about this, but they have no information about Siraj's future.

“We have not received any update on Siraj yet,” the Hyderabad team management said, according to TOI report. Hyderabad's next match is against Himachal Pradesh, but there is still confusion over Siraj's participation.

Arshdeep Singh has been included in place of Mohammed Siraj in the Indian team for the Champions Trophy. Due to less support for fast bowlers on Dubai pitches, the team has selected four spinners – Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar on the lines of the T20 World Cup held in West Indies.

Jasprit Bumrah will not be available for the first two ODIs and will return for the final match in Ahmedabad on February 12. Harshit Rana has been included in the team for the first two ODIs in Nagpur and Cuttack. He said, “We wanted Arshdeep Singh to bowl the last overs and Mohammed Shami to bowl with the new ball. If Siraj is not bowling with the new ball, he would not have been able to make an impact.”
