Sensex-Nifty Closing Bell: Stock market crashed, investors lost Rs 10 lakh crore, know the condition of Sensex-Nifty?

Sensex-Nifty Closing Bell: The stock market closed in the red on Friday, the last trading day of the week. Benchmark Sensex and Nifty saw a decline of about two percent. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 1470.50 points or 1.93 per cent to close at 74,563.92. Similarly, the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 488.05 points or 2.06 per cent to close at 23,151.10.

Rupee fell 20 paise to close at new record low of 92.45 (provisional) against US dollar. Due to sharp selling, about Rs 10 lakh crore was wiped out from the total market capitalization of all the companies listed on BSE.
