Stock market galloped as soon as ceasefire ended, Sensex rose by 2674 points, Nifty also opened up by 731 points.
Stock Market Today: After the announcement of ceasefire with Iran by US President Donald Trump, there was a strong rise in the Indian stock market. BSE Sensex opened today on the morning of April 8 at the level of 77290, which shows a huge jump of 2674 points. At the same time, NSE’s Nifty opened at the level of 23855, registering a gain of 731 points. All 30 Sensex stocks opened on the green mark, which makes it clear that the mood of investors is positive.
Talking about the global market, there was a strong rise in the Asian stock markets also. Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose more than five percent to 56230, while the Topix index gained more than three percent to 3775. South Korea’s Kospi index was trading up more than 6%. The Hang Seng Futures Index was at 25,233, above the previous close of 25,116.53.
800 points jump in Nifty
Especially after Trump’s ceasefire announcement, GIFT Nifty recorded a jump of 800 points and reached the level of 23987. This indicates that the domestic stock market is likely to remain bullish even today.
There were ups and downs in the American market
The situation on Wall Street was mixed. Dow Jones closed at 46584 with a slight fall of 85 points, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq had slight gains. A huge fall was seen in the prices of crude oil. Brent crude fell below $92 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was at around $95 after registering its biggest fall in six years.
Gold prices also rise
Gold prices also increased. In the international market, spot gold rose 2.3% to $ 4,811.66 an ounce, while US gold futures closed 3.3% higher at $ 4,840 an ounce.

A boom was also seen in the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin prices hit three-week high after US-Iran ceasefire. Bitcoin was up 4.9% to trade at $72,738, while ether prices rose 7.4% to $2,273.
