Sensex rises 700 points amid turmoil in stock market as BJP's victory in Haryana is confirmed

Stock Market Today: Sensex rose 713.28 points as BJP's victory in Haryana Assembly elections was confirmed. Investors' capital has increased by Rs 7.67 lakh crore today. 324 shares hit upper circuit and 137 shares reached 52-week high. After opening in the negative zone in the morning, the rise in Sensex and Nifty continues. Nifty has again achieved the level of 25 thousand.

At 10.45 am, Sensex was trading 400.32 points higher at 81450 and Nifty was trading 128.75 points higher at 24924.50. Buying environment was seen in all sectoral indices except IT, Techno and Metal. Due to this, investors' capital increased by Rs 3 lakh crore. Later, improvement was seen in all sectors except metals amid normal buying environment.

2973 shares in green zone

Out of 4041 shares traded on BSE, 2973 shares improved and 964 shares declined. Today 137 shares reached a new high of the year. While 105 shares recorded the lowest level of the year. 326 shares hit upper circuit and 251 shares hit lower circuit. The index rose 2.55 per cent led by up to 20 per cent rise in smallcap stocks. Midcap index jumped 1.96 percent, Power index jumped 2.63 percent.

Impact of China's relief package, gap in metal stocks

Metal stocks fell after China announced relief package. The index fell 1.06 percent due to call gap in metal stocks. Coal India rose 2.50 percent. Apart from this, a decline of up to 4 percent was recorded in all 10, 3.87 percent in NMDC, 2.74 percent in Tata Steel, 1.85 percent in JSW Steel and 1.57 percent in Jindal Steel.
