Trainee plane crashes in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, plane hits high-voltage line and falls; two people injured
MP Seoni News: The incident of a trainee plane crashing in Kurai block of Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday evening created a stir in the area. According to initial information, this training aircraft of Redbird Aviation Company crashed at around 6:30 pm in Amgaon area near Gopalganj. Locals said that the plane suddenly became unbalanced during flight practice and while coming down, it directly hit the 33 KV high-voltage line.
According to eyewitnesses, as soon as the wings of the plane hit the electrical wires, huge sparks came out and a loud bang was heard. After the accident, there was chaos on the spot and the villagers immediately got involved in rescue operations. People took the pilot and the youth who was undergoing training with him out of the cabin of the plane and took them to a safe place. Both were later sent to the hospital for treatment.

Villagers of Suktra village say that if the plane had remained in contact with the high-voltage wires for a few more seconds, a serious situation like fire or a major explosion could have arisen. He termed aircraft operations near high power lines present in this area as risky and raised serious questions on safety.
Local people also said that earlier also during training, the plane had overturned twice while running on the runway, due to which the concern regarding training arrangements and safety standards is increasing. The villagers demanded removal of 33 KV line from near the air strip, so that such accidents can be prevented in future.
Investigation started after cordoning off the area
At the same time, Redbird Aviation Management issued a statement saying that the instructor and trainee on board the plane have suffered minor injuries and their condition is out of danger. The company has informed the concerned departments about the incident. As soon as information about the accident was received, police and administrative officials reached the spot, cordoned off the area and started investigation.

The electricity department team immediately stopped the power supply and started the work of repairing the damaged wires. The front part of the aircraft is badly damaged and a technical team has been deployed to remove it. At present the investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
