BELGRADE: News of a major accident has come to light in Serbia. Here on Friday i.e. November 1, about 11 people died when the roof of the railway station collapsed. Regarding this horrific accident, Home Minister Ivica Decic said that three people are seriously injured, who have been admitted to the hospital. Let us tell you that this accident happened in Novi Sad city. Where people lost their lives due to the collapse of the concrete roof. As soon as information about the accident was received, an ambulance along with other emergency services teams were immediately sent to the spot. At the same time, people are being searched by removing debris with bulldozers. The injured people have been taken to the hospital where their treatment is ongoing.

The incident of this accident was also captured in CCTV where people are seen sitting on benches under the roof. At the same time, the roof is seen suddenly falling on them. According to the information, this building was recently renovated. At present, rescue work is going on at the incident site.
Contact with people buried under debris
Serbia's Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said that about 11 people have died after the concrete ceiling of a railway station in northern Serbia collapsed. People were sitting on benches under the facade of the station in Novi Sad at noon local time in Serbia when the accident occurred. Dacic said rescue workers are in contact with the girl and two other people buried under the debris.

Serbian media quoted Serbia's Railway Infrastructure, the body responsible for the concrete canopy, as saying it was constructed in 1964. But this station was not rebuilt. The railway station building itself was renovated in 2021 and was renovated again this year to be officially opened on July 5.
