Serial molester arrested in Mumbai, identified through 29 CCTV cameras in 48 hours
The police have finally arrested a vicious accused who molested women walking on the streets in Mumbai city. This accused, seeing an opportunity with women walking on the streets, would grab their private parts and do obscene acts and run away, due to which an atmosphere of panic was created in the area.
The case pertains to Goregaon West Vangurnagar Police Station, where on March 30, 2026, at around 9:30 pm, a girl was going towards her home. Meanwhile, the accused came from the wrong way and molested the woman from behind and pressed her private parts and fled from the spot. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case and started investigation.
According to Bangur Nagar Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Awhad, the police searched 29 CCTV cameras in 48 hours continuously to catch the serial molester. Taking this matter seriously, the police searched the footage of 29 CCTV cameras of the area, after which the accused was identified. Access to the accused was achieved through continuous technical investigation and teamwork.
Accused arrested: Police has arrested the accused Munavwar Nasir Khan (age 25 years). He is said to be a resident of Aarey Colony area and the accused has been involved in similar incidents before also. Police have registered several cases against him under various sections.
A big success for the police, this entire action was carried out under the guidance of senior officers. Police say that further interrogation of the accused is going on and strict action will be taken against him.
