Vice President Radhakrishnan’s statement: Paying obeisance at the feet of Mother India is not ‘anti-Tamil’
Chennai. Vice President CP Radhakrishnan shared important information regarding paying homage to Mother India during a program organized in Rameshwaram on Tuesday. He said that anyone who bows down at the feet of Mother India is not anti-Tamil. Emphasizing the cultural ties between Kashi and Tamil Nadu, Radhakrishnan stressed the importance of the idea of ’One India, Best India’.

He said that we bow at the feet of Mother India every day and pray for her blessings. Does this make us anti-Tamil? He made it clear that if the nation is one eye, then the mother tongue Tamil is the other eye, which cannot be divided.
Prime Minister’s support
Citing a recent example, the Vice President said the Prime Minister has taken an impressive step in standing with the Tamil community. He said the Nattukottai Chettiars, with the support of the state government, recovered the encroached land of their rest house in Kasi in just 48 hours. This step shows the leadership ability of the Prime Minister.
Kashi Tamil Sangamam organized
The concluding ceremony of Kasi Tamil Sangamam (KTS 4.0), organized by the Education Ministry in Varanasi in December, was held in Rameshwaram, the main theme of which was ‘Tamil Karakalam’. Its objective was to promote linguistic exchange and cultural unity between North and South India.
Statement of Union Education Minister
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on this occasion that Tamil civilization is an important part of Indian culture. He also said that Tamil language has spread not only in Tamil Nadu but throughout India. According to him, Kasi Tamil Sangam 4.0 is an important part of this dialogue.
Governor RN Ravi’s speech
Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi presented his speech entirely in Tamil. He said lakhs of students are learning Tamil in India this year, including 300 Hindi-speaking students from Uttar Pradesh.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tamil Nadu unit president Nainar Nagendran said that Tamil people should express gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi. He said that PM Modi has given the message to the students of Uttar Pradesh to learn Tamil and this language has been alive for thousands of years.
