Questions raised on party’s functioning
Raghav Chadha expressed dissatisfaction with the functioning of the party at present. He alleged that the nature of the party has changed with time. He said, today this party is no longer the old party. Today the working environment in this party is very bad. You are prevented from working. You are prevented from speaking in Parliament.
Reason for joining BJP
Explaining his decision, Chadha said that he was constantly feeling isolated in the party. He said that he was beginning to feel that he was the right person, but on the wrong platform. He also revealed that he considered several options, including leaving politics, trying to reform within the party or switching to another political party, and ultimately chose the last option.
‘Seven people can’t be wrong’
Describing his decision as a collective one, Chadha said, not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six but seven MPs have decided to break their ties with this political party. He further said, one person can be wrong, two people can be wrong, but seven people cannot be wrong.
Denial of speculation due to pressure or fear
