Seven rounds of firing over the fight for supremacy in Seraikela, shooter of notorious criminal shot dead

Seraikela-Kharsawan: There was a bloody clash between two groups over supremacy in Manjhi Toli of Adityapur police station area. Panic spread after the rapid firing between the two groups. In this firing, shooter Ashish Deep, considered close to notorious criminal Krishna Gop, was targeted. Ashish narrowly escaped this attack but Rajveer Singh alias Lalu was seriously injured.

According to the information received, there was an altercation and scuffle between the two groups over some issue on Monday night. Within no time the dispute escalated so much that one party took out a weapon and started firing, aiming at Ashish Deep. The attackers fired seven rounds one after the other. As soon as the firing started, Ashish Deep and Rajveer Singh started trying to escape on the bike. Meanwhile, a bullet hit Rajveer Singh alias Lalu. Injured Rajveer has been admitted to the hospital by his colleagues.

Police reached the spot and recovered the shell. The area has been cordoned off and investigation is being done on the basis of CCTV footage. Mutual supremacy and old dispute are believed to be the reason behind the attack. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of fear in Manjhi Tola and surrounding areas.
