Filmmaker and Film and Television Producers Association president Ashok Pandit paid tribute to the martyrs on social media, writing that it was a sad day in India’s history and the sacrifice of the martyrs will always be remembered.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted and remembered the devotion and courage of these brave soldiers and said that every Indian gets inspiration from them.
The incident of attack and its background
In the Pulwama attack, a CRPF convoy going from Jammu to Srinagar was attacked by a Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber with a vehicle laden with explosives. 40 soldiers were martyred and many were injured in this attack. After the incident, India took forceful action and carried out Balakot airstrike. This attack proved to be a serious and tragic incident for the country.
The attack emphasized national security and unity against terrorism. This day is celebrated as ‘Black Day’ across the country. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the sacrifice of martyrs gives us the strength to remain united against terrorism.
Message from leaders and prominent personalities
Union Minister of State Ramdas Athawale and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to the martyrs and said that their sacrifice will continue to inspire us to completely eradicate terrorism. Leader of the opposition, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and NCP’s Sharad Pawar also praised the courage and sacrifice of the martyrs.
Ashok Pandit said in an emotional post on Instagram that these 40 brave soldiers will always remain immortal in the hearts of the countrymen. He called upon everyone to remain united in honoring the martyrs.
