Sex content increased on Grok AI… India-UK warned, two Muslim countries banned
Washington. The uproar around the world regarding GroK AI is increasing. After warnings from countries like India and Britain, now two Muslim countries have banned this chat bot. According to the information, after Indonesia, Malaysia has also taken strict action on Grok and has restricted billionaire Elon Musk’s access to Grok AI. These countries have become the first countries to ban Artificial Intelligence systems due to spreading obscenity.
Issuing a statement on Saturday, Indonesia’s Communications Ministry said that the temporary ban on Grok is being imposed to protect women, children and other people from the risk of pornographic content being created using artificial intelligence technology. The ministry said it has also asked social media platform X to provide immediate clarification on the matter.
Malaysia also took action
Earlier last Sunday, Malaysia had also warned Grok and limited access to Grok. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission said it had banned X Corp. And issued notices to xAI LLC to curb AI-generated content.
X admitted his mistake
Meanwhile, after receiving a warning from India, the microblogging site has accepted its mistake and said that it will follow Indian laws. Government sources said that about 3,500 obscene materials have been blocked and more than 600 accounts have been deleted. It has also been said that in future this platform will not allow making obscene pictures. The ‘Safety’ handle of the social media platform last Sunday said it would take action against its illegal content, which also includes child sexual abuse material.
Controversy increased worldwide
The pressure on ‘Grok’ from governments around the world is increasing. Many countries are placing closer scrutiny on generative AI engines in light of the large number of objectionable and non-consensual sexual content that has surfaced on X in recent days, ‘content moderation’ and data security. Governments around the world, including Europe and Asia, have warned of action if online security standards are not followed. At the same time, the public demand for action against both ‘X’ and ‘Grok’ on this issue is also increasing.
Apart from India, Britain and the European Union (EU) have also increased pressure on X over the issue of ‘deepfake’ images linked to ‘Grok’ AI. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called such acts ‘disgusting’. The European Commission has asked X to keep all documents related to Grok safe.
