Shadow of rain on IPL 2026 final, yellow alert issued in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad. Crores of cricket fans are waiting for the final of IPL 2026, but the weather has increased the concern before this great match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans. On the day of the final in Ahmedabad, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert, due to which discussions have intensified regarding the possibility of rain and storm. The weather was clear and sunny in Ahmedabad on Sunday morning, but the local meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for some parts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds may blow and there is a possibility of rain along with thunder. In such a situation, the role of weather can play an important role during the final match.

  • According to the report, Ahmedabad is in the grip of scorching heat for the last few days. On May 30, the city’s maximum temperature was recorded at 43.1 degrees Celsius, due to which a heatwave warning was also issued. However, the Meteorological Department has estimated that there may be rain in Ahmedabad and surrounding areas on June 1, but the possibility of rain during the final cannot be completely ruled out.

According to IPL rules, a reserve day has been kept for the final match, so that the match can be completed in case of bad weather. However, according to the Meteorological Department, June 1 may be more rainy than Sunday i.e. May 31. Despite this, the first effort of the organizers will be to complete the match on Sunday itself, even if the match has to be shortened. If for some reason the final cannot be completed even in two days, RCB will be declared the winner due to their better position in the league stage.
