Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh and Anil Kapoor reportedly in the running to host Star Plus’ ambitious new reality show

Star Plus is reportedly preparing to launch one of its most ambitious reality projects yet, and some of Bollywood’s greatest personalities could compete for the show’s hosting rights.

According to TellyChakkar, the channel is planning a large-scale reality format tentatively termed Breaking, with potential hosts including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Anil Kapoor.

Endemol Shine India, which is known for several successful reality and non-fiction television formats, is rumoured to be producing the upcoming show.

Unlike traditional competition-based reality shows, Breaking is apparently being created around a novel premise that will feature a new set of contestants in each episode, providing viewers with a different experience each week.

According to TellyChakkar’s sources, the makers intend to produce on a huge scale equal to internationally famous formats.

The show is apparently inspired by the popularity and effect of programmes such as Kaun Banega Crorepati and global reality sensations. The 50 aimed to create a blockbuster television event for Indian audiences.

The most talked-about aspect of the project, however, is the star-studded lineup of celebrities vying for the lead role. Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, both of whom have previously considered television presenting, are rumoured to be among the contenders.

Ranveer Singh, known for his lively demeanour and successful television career, is also allegedly in the running. Veteran actor Anil Kapoor, who has recently received plaudits for his presenting ability, is another option being mentioned.

As of present, neither Star Plus nor the production house has confirmed the show’s format or host. However, the allegations have already aroused tremendous interest among fans eager to know which Bollywood celebrity will eventually snag the role.

If the project goes ahead as planned, Breaking might become one of Indian television’s most successful reality shows in recent years, mixing a new concept with the star power of some of the industry’s most recognisable stars.
