Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan starrer Karan Arjun to re-release in theatres

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s 1995 action-thriller Karan Arjun will be re-released in theatres on November 22, the makers announced on Monday. A new teaser of the film was unveiled which features some scenes from the film. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, it also stars Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, Rakhee Gulzar and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles.

Rakesh Roshan shared the teaser of the film, giving a glimpse into some action scenes and emotional sequences involving Rakhee, who plays a grieving mother. Before sharing the teaser, Rakesh wrote on social media, “Back in the 90’s there were no film teasers, but today I am very excited to present the Karan Arjun teaser to you all.”

Karan Arjun told the story of two brothers, who embark on a journey to seek revenge for their father’s death only to be killed by their uncle. Years later, the two are reincarnated to get justice. It was written by Sachin Bhowmick, Ravi Kapoor and Anwar Khan.

Upon release, the film received positive reviews and emerged as a blockbuster at the box-office, becoming the second-highest grossing Hindi film of 1995 after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Over the years, the film has become part of the pop-culture, with its dialogue, “Mere Karan Arjun Aayenge (My Karan Arjun will return)”, getting resounding popularity.
