Shah Rukh Khan is finally confirmed to be part of the star-filled cast of Jailer 2sharing the screen with Rajinikanth for the first time.
The news came from Mohanlal’s stylist, Jishad Shamsudeen, who posted on Instagram an AI-created image showing Shah Rukh at the wheel, with Mohanlal beside him and Rajinikanth and Shiva Rajkumar in the back seat.
The caption hinted fans might finally see all of them together in the sequel. Jishad added, “Kandippa irukkum,” which loosely means “for sure.”
For the sequel, Mohanlal reprises Mathew, and Shiva Rajkumar returns as Narasimha.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi is also expected to join the cast, and Mithun Chakraborty has hinted that he takes on the role of the villain.
Rumours had suggested other stars like Balakrishna might join, but they have not materialized. This will make Jailer 2 the first official on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh and Rajinikanth.
Fans can expect the film to bring together some of Indian cinema’s biggest icons in a high octane entertainer.
Notably, the much anticipated movie, Jailer 2is slated to hit theaters on June 12.
