The source said that Shahrukh Khan did not want to be a part of this horror-comedy universe, rather he wanted to do something new with Maddock and Amar Kaushik. Shahrukh has asked them to bring him a new and unseen genre, after which both of them are now considering new names for 'Chamunda'.

'Chamunda' is scheduled to release in 2026 and this film is currently in the writing stage. Alia Bhatt is excited to play the lead role in this film and is working with Dinesh Vijan for this project.
