Shahrukh 'Pramuwala' is first, superstar later: NSD Director Chittaranjan Tripathi
National Drama School (NSD) director Chittaranjan Tripathi says that Shah Rukh Khan is the first and the superstar is later. Noted theater, TV and film artist Tripathi said that it would be good for NSD if Shah Rukh comes here as a guest.
Shahrukh Khan did theater with Barry John
The theater school is known for veteran artists including Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor and Irfan. Tripathi told in an interview to the news agency at PTI headquarters here, “Shah Rukh Khan has done a lot of theater with Barry John (in Delhi). I consider him a color worker, I consider him a superstar before and after. ” The NSD director said that it is a pleasure to see a color worker becoming such a big superstar.
Ordinary person reached extraordinary heights
He said, “I think an ordinary person from an ordinary family reached extraordinary heights, I see myself in this way. I look at myself and say 'Wow', this is me. ” Tripathi has worked as director, writer, actor and musician in theater, TV and films before assuming responsibility as NSD Director in October 2023. He is known for his characters in plays like 'Samudra Manthan', 'Gannu Bhai', and 'Taj Mahal's Tender' and his characters in Hindi films like 'Talwar', 'Juban' and 'Mukkabaz'.
