Shameful! Shortage of drinking water in scorching heat, fans raised slogans 'MCA give us water'

Mumbai Mumbai. In a major embarrassment for the BCCI and MCA officials, cricket fans in Pune had to stay outside in the scorching heat as there was no water facility available inside the Maharashtra Ticket Association Stadium. Fans had come in large numbers to show their support to Team India on the first day against New Zealand, however, they had to remain without water. In the picture going viral on social media, fans were waiting to collect drinking water bottles from the security personnel. Slogans like “MCA give us water, MCA hi hi” are being raised loudly in the MCA stadium and this situation is definitely humiliating for the state association and even the BCCI.

Authorities will now have to ensure that they take the necessary steps to avoid further protests in the coming days, as the stadium is likely to attract more crowds. The ongoing Test match in Pune is important for both India and New Zealand. Team India wants to make a comeback and equalize the series against New Zealand. On the other hand, Kiwi is trying to create history by winning the series. In the latest update, New Zealand has lost three wickets while crossing the 150-run mark. Tom Latham, Will Young and Devon Conway were the three batsmen who were dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin on the first day.

The experienced spinner has overtaken Nathan Lyon to become the highest wicket-taker in the World Test Championship (WTC). Since the start of the World Test Championship in 2019, he has taken 188 wickets in 39 matches at an impressive average of 20.71.
