Shami returns to Indian team for T20 series, Suryakumar Yadav becomes captain

Indian T20 Team For England Series: India has to play a five-match T20 series against England, and for this BCCI has announced the Indian T20 team. The captaincy of this team has been handed over to Suryakumar Yadav, while Akshar Patel has been made the vice-captain. New and experienced players have got a chance in the Indian team for this series.

Mohammed Shami's return

Mohammed Shami has performed brilliantly in domestic cricket and now he is completely fit. For this reason he has been called back to the T20 team. He will get a chance to prove his fitness before the Champions Trophy. Shami last played a T20 match for India in 2022 against England. Till now he has played 23 T20 International matches for India, in which he has taken 24 wickets.

Two wicketkeepers in the team

There are two wicketkeepers in this squad – Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel. The responsibility of spin department has been given to Varun Chakraborty, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar and Akshar Patel.

Nitish Reddy got a chance

Nitish Kumar Reddy, who performed well in the Test series against Australia, has also got a place in this team. Apart from this, Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh have also got a chance. To strengthen the middle order, Tilak Verma, Hardik Pandya and Rinku Singh are also included in this squad.
