In Sanatan Dharma, Pradosh Vrat is considered one of the most important fasts dedicated to Lord Shiva. Pradosh fast is observed every month on the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha. Shani Pradosh Vrat 2026: Date and puja time
In the year 2026, Shani Pradosh fast of Jyeshtha month will be observed on Saturday, June 27. According to the Panchang, the Trayodashi Tithi of Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha will start at 10:22 pm on June 26 and will end at 12:43 am on June 28. Based on Udaya Tithi, the fast will be observed on 27th June.
Pradosh Kaal is considered to be the most auspicious time for worship during Pradosh Vrat. On this day, Pradosh Kaal for worshiping Lord Shiva will be from 7:23 pm to 9:23 pm. During this period, consecration, chanting and worshiping Shivalinga is considered especially fruitful.

It is told in the scriptures that by observing Pradosh Vrat one gets special blessings of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Pradosh fast observed on Saturday is also considered to please Shanidev.
