Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda praised CM Yogi’s decision, also raised questions on Ram Mandir Trust

Jagatguru Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has openly praised a decision of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In fact, Shankaracharya, who was on Shamli tour, made many important comments on the alleged donation controversy related to Ayodhya Ram temple, the functioning of the trust and the politics of the state. The special thing was that he described Chief Minister Yogi’s decision of not meeting Trust General Secretary Champat Rai as appropriate and commendable.

In fact, during a conversation with the media in Shamli, Avimukteshwaranand said that maintaining distance from people against whom allegations have been made should be considered a responsible step. He said that this decision of the Chief Minister is commendable because it is necessary to maintain impartiality until the allegations are investigated. After his statement, the discussion has intensified in political and religious circles.

Speaking on the alleged donation controversy related to Ram temple, Shankaracharya said that there are many questions on which clear answers should be given. He claimed that there are some incidents and allegations which cannot be ignored. However, an official response from the concerned party is yet to come on these allegations.

Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda also expressed his opinion on the alleged financial matters related to Ayodhya Ram temple. He said that if questions are being raised about the functioning of any institution, then there should be an impartial investigation. Referring to issues like CCTV records, administrative decisions and removal of some employees, he said that transparency is necessary on all these aspects.

He also targeted some senior people associated with the trust and said that in a faith-related project like Ram Temple, people’s trust is most important. He believes that transparency and accountability are as important for any religious institution as faith and belief.

Big messages given on cow protection, politics and democracy

In fact, during the Shamli tour, Avimukteshwaranand not only raised the issue of Ram Temple, but also expressed his views on politics and democracy. He said that people in the country should elect such representatives who are committed to cow protection and social values. According to him, different governments have come in the last several decades, but the expected results could not be achieved on the issue of cow protection. Commenting on electoral politics, he also said that public trust is the biggest strength of democracy. If discussions like party switching or horse-trading of public representatives come to light, it affects the image of the democratic system. He said that the responsibility of both the public and the leaders is important to keep democracy strong.
