This statement of his was being considered as a hint towards Avimukteshwarananda. Even before this, on many occasions, news of tension between CM Yogi and Keshav Prasad Maurya has come to light.

In fact, Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati was stopped by the fair and police administration from taking bath in the Sangam in a wheeled palanquin on Mauni Amavasya. Shankaracharya did not take bath. He said that until the officers apologized to him and respectfully took him to the Sangam for a bath, he would not enter his camp and would remain sitting at the same place.

Fair authority issued notice

Amidst this announcement by Shankaracharya, the Prayagraj Mela Authority issued a notice to him citing the order of the Supreme Court and asked him to clarify within 24 hours as to how he is calling himself Shankaracharya and whether ‘Shankaracharya’ is written on the board of his camp. How is the word written? This aggravated the matter further. On Tuesday, Shankaracharya told reporters that he would file his reply. He filed his reply on Wednesday.

Shankaracharya’s lawyer replied

In his reply, he asked the authority officials to withdraw the notice within 24 hours. He also warned of legal action if he did not do so. In a reply given by Shankaracharya’s lawyer Anjani Kumar Mishra, the fair administration was informed that his coronation had already taken place and the court order came later.

Avimukteshwaranand gave a direct warning

It also warned that if the administration does not withdraw its notice within 24 hours, a contempt petition will be filed against the administration for misrepresenting the court order, along with other necessary legal action.

Fair administration gave another notice

The eight-page reply clarified the points raised by the administration. However, this time the administration issued him another notice, giving him 24 hours to explain why the land and facilities given to his organization at the Magh Mela should not be taken back and why his entry into the fair should not be permanently barred.

After this second notice, Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand retorted and asked on what basis the facilities were given initially and on what basis now they are being withdrawn. It will be important to see whether Shankaracharya responds to this second notice of the fair administration or takes any other step against it.
