Sharad Pawar got scared after seeing the condition of Mamta and Uddhav! After all, why are you looking for a one-way street?
Many parties have become alert due to the way political parties have split in the last few months. After the breakup of Lok Sabha MPs of Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Shivsena (Uddhav Bala Saheb Thackeray), murmurs have also started about the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar). It is being said that there are 5-6 out of 8 MPs of NCP (SP) who are preparing to switch sides. Keeping this in mind, Sharad Pawar himself and senior party leaders are also considering different options. Interestingly, these options include Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Different leaders have different opinions but most of the MPs want to go with the ruling party.
A total of 8 Lok Sabha MPs of NCP (SP) had won in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. One of these 8 is Supriya Sule, daughter of Sharad Pawar herself. Recently there were reports that some MPs may break away, then both Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule denied it, but now there are reports that both the leaders are talking to different party leaders at different levels. Let us understand in detail what are the options available before Sharad Pawar?
Merger with Congress?
It is being said about Sharad Pawar, who left Congress and formed his own party, that he himself wants to remain with Congress. In this situation, by merging the party with Congress, big posts can be sought for Supriya Sule and some other leaders from Maharashtra to Delhi. It is being said that Sharad Pawar himself is in touch with the Congress leadership regarding this. It is also discussed that Sharad Pawar wants a post like National Vice President for his daughter Supriya Sule and also wants to make Maharashtra State President of his camp. However, Congress does not agree on this.

If this happens, then 5 or 6 out of 8 MPs will not be able to join any other party on the basis of two-thirds. However, it is also being said that some leaders are not comfortable going with the Congress and may switch sides if Sharad Pawar tries to do so. This is the reason why Sharad Pawar is not making such efforts openly and is exploring options from behind the scenes.
NDA support
The second plan is that all the MPs should remain in NCP (SP) and become part of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) instead of the India Alliance. In this situation, Supriya Sule may be asked for a ministerial post at the Center as well as a stake in the state government. However, ideologically Sharad Pawar does not seem to be with NDA, hence there is no unanimity on this also. It is being said that many MPs are in favor of this option so that they are not labeled as rebels and they continue to work under the leadership of Sharad Pawar.

BJP, NCP and Shiv Sena are also making efforts
Ever since Shiv Sena has defeated 6 MPs of Shiv Sena (UBT), Maharashtra BJP and Devendra Fadnavis himself as well as NCP i.e. Sunetra Pawar’s party have been on alert. Now there is a competition among all the parties to show themselves strong. Many MPs of NCP (Sharad Pawar) are said to be in touch with Shiv Sena, BJP and NCP at personal level. However, in this situation, the MPs will have to bring together at least two-thirds i.e. 5 to 6 MPs, which does not seem so easy at the moment.
Yes, it is certain that after seeing the fate of AAP, TMC and Shiv Sena (UBT), there is definitely panic in Sharad Pawar’s camp. It is being said about Sharad Pawar that he wants to go with Congress only, but he is also talking to other parties to make his and his daughter Supriya Sule’s role stronger so that its pressure falls on Congress and it gives them more importance. It is also discussed that if the joining of 6 MPs in Shiv Sena and the split in TMC gets the Speaker’s approval, then NCP (Sharad Pawar) MPs can also move in the same direction.
