Sharadiya Navratri 2024: Sharadiya Navratri will be organized on a large scale, the objective will be to create a sense of security and respect for women

Lucknow. There will be grand events in the goddess temples of the state during Sharadiya (Kwar/Ashwin) Navratri (Sharadiya Navratri 2024). The Yogi government will also organize cultural programs. Which will be organized on a large scale from 3 to 12 October. During this, the participation of women and girls will also be ensured. Devi Gayan, Durga Saptashati, Akhand Ramayana will be recited during these nine days. The Culture Department has issued instructions to all DMs in this regard.

The government aims to have an important role for local artists in the events. Artists will be selected using the e-directory of the Culture Department, so that local culture and traditions can be promoted.

Apart from this, Ramayan Paath will be organized in major Shaktipeeths on the occasion of Ashtami and Navami. This will help in promoting social and national values. This program will not only encourage religious sentiments but will also give a sense of security and respect to women and children.

The Chief Secretary has directed that arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, security, sound, light and bedding should be made at all the event venues. District Magistrates have been asked to ensure that no objection certificates are obtained at all the event venues.
