Shardul Thakur and his wife Mithali Parulkar have become parents of a son. In a social media post, Thakur wrote, “Hidden in the hearts of our parents, protected by silence, trust and eternal love. Our secret is finally out in the open. Welcome son, the dream we nurtured silently for 9 months.” Shardul and Mithali’s marriage took place on 27 February 2023. Before marriage, both of them dated each other and often shared their love on social media. Mithali supported Thakur completely during his difficult times.

Currently Shardul Thakur will be seen captaining the Mumbai cricket team. He previously led Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Ranji Trophy. Although the team’s performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was not that impressive, Mumbai performed decently in the Ranji Trophy.
