Dalal Street returns bright, after initial decline ‘Rocket’ Made market; Sensex closed after jumping 317 points

Share Market Highlights: On Friday, the last trading day of the week, the Indian stock market closed in the green after recovering from the previous day’s heavy fall and early fall of the day. PSU banks and metal stocks played an important role in lifting the market. During this period, the main benchmark of the domestic market, BSE Sensex jumped by 316.57 points or 0.38 percent and closed at 82,814.71, while NSE Nifty closed at 25,571.25 with a gain of 116.90 (0.46 percent) points.

At the time of market closing, all the Nifty indices except Nifty IT were seen trading in the green. Despite tensions between the US and Iran weighing on Asian shares, the indices rose. In the broader market, the Nifty Midcap 100 index rose 0.48 per cent, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 index declined 0.11 per cent.

There was a sharp rise in Nifty Auto

Talking about sectoral indices, the maximum increase of 1.68 percent was recorded in Nifty PSU Bank index, while Nifty Metal recorded a rise of 1.25 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Auto saw a rise of 0.41 percent, Nifty FMCG saw a rise of 0.56 percent, Nifty Bank saw a rise of 0.71 percent, while Nifty IT saw a fall of 0.98 percent.

Today’s Top Gainers and Losers

Out of 30 shares of BSE Sensex, 22 shares saw a rise and 8 shares saw a decline. Shares of NTPC, L&T, HUL, Tata Steel, Power Grid and BEL gained up to 2.7 per cent and were among the top losers, while shares of Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Eternal, HCL Tech and Bharti Airtel were among the top losers.

The market started in the red

There was a dull opening in the market in the morning. The markets opened falling from yesterday’s levels, but after that Sensex-Nifty were trading flat after recovering from lower levels. Compared to the previous closing, the Sensex had fallen by 200 points in the initial minutes to around 82,275. Nifty also fell 40 points to 25,410. bank nifty A fall of 132 points was seen and the index stood at 60,606. Nifty Midcap Select was also down 50 points. But then there was some recovery.
