Nifty Realty closed down by 2.12 per cent, Nifty Metal by 1.99 per cent, Nifty India Defense by 1.48 per cent, Nifty FMCG by 1.14 per cent, Nifty PSU Bank by 0.83 per cent, Nifty Commodities by 0.60 per cent and Nifty Healthcare by 0.34 per cent.

The Indian stock market opened with a rise in Friday’s trading session. At 9:16 am, Sensex was at 77,554, up 367 points or 0.48 per cent, and Nifty was at 24,163, up 90 points or 0.38 per cent. IT stocks were leading the rise in the stock market in early trade. Due to this, Nifty IT was the top gainer among the indices with a gain of 2 percent.
