Share Market Update: A decline is being seen in the stock market today i.e. on 22nd October. Sensex is trading at the level of 80,573.65 (1:24 pm) with a fall of more than 577.62 points. At the same time, Nifty is also trading at the level of 24,577.55 (1:24 PM) with a fall of more than -203.55 points.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 23 are showing decline and 7 are seeing rise. Today a decline is being seen in metal, banking and auto shares. Shares of Tata Motors, Maruti and M&M have seen a decline of more than 2 percent.

Mixed trading in Asian markets today

In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei has declined by 1.43 percent. At the same time, Korea's Kospi saw a decline of 1.01 percent and China's Shanghai Composite saw a rise of 0.25 percent.

On October 21, the US Dow Jones fell 0.80% to 42,931 and the S&P 500 fell 0.18% to 5,853. Nasdaq closed 0.27% higher at 18,540.

According to NSE data, on October 21, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 2,261 crore. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 3,225 crore.

Earlier yesterday i.e. on 21st October, a decline was seen in the stock market. The Sensex closed at 81,151 with a fall of 73 points. Nifty also closed at 24,781 with a fall of 72 points.
