Shashi Tharoor rejected ‘Veer Savarkar International Impact Award’, said – I am not going
Veer Savarkar International Impact Award 2025: The NDMC Convention Hall in New Delhi is scheduled to host the first edition of Veer Savarkar International Impact Award 2025 on 10th December 2025. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will participate in this program. Meanwhile, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has rejected the ‘Veer Savarkar International Impact Award’.

In fact, among the six personalities who will be given the Veer Savarkar International Impact Award 2025, one name is also included that of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor from Thiruvananthapuram. But, Tharoor has clearly said that he is not going to accept this award. “I am not getting anything. I heard about it only yesterday and I am not going,” Shashi Tharoor told the media on Wednesday at the Veer Savarkar International Impact Award 2025.

Congress leader K Muraleedharan on Wednesday said no party member, including MP Shashi Tharoor, should receive any award in the name of Veer Savarkar as he had bowed before the British. Muraleedharan said that he does not think that Tharoor will accept the award because doing so would insult and embarrass the Congress.
Let us tell you that Veer Savarkar International Impact Award 2025 is being given to those influential people whose work has left a deep and positive impact on society, policy making, national development and public life.
