Amid Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan divorce rumours, Vikram opens up on his ‘incomplete love story’ with Aish

Aishwarya Rai and Vikram have starred in three movies together, and their on-screen and off-screen chemistry has always been the talk of the town. Here’s what Vikram has to say about their ‘incomplete love story’.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are hot topics trending on the internet after their divorce speculation reports went viral. Amid the divorce rumours, Aishwarya’s close co-star and dear friend Vikram’s interview has gone viral where he spoke about how he adores Aish and there’s an incomplete love story of the two as she is married to Abhishek Bachchan. During the promotions his film ‘Thangalaan’, Vikram broke the silence on his and Aishwarya Rai’s chemistry on screen and their bond in real life.

While speaking to Siddharth Kanan, Vikram said, “Abhishek is a very close friend of mine so automatically, the family becomes friends too. The thing is, Aishwarya and I, have very good on-screen chemistry, like whether it was Raavan or whether it was Ponniyin Selvan and both were unrequited love, in both she was somebody else’s wife and I got killed in both. She is very committed, a perfectionist and we are very good friends but Abhishek is like a very, very close friend.”

Vikram and Aishwarya Rai’s Raavan was an average film with the box office collection of Rs 49.5 crore. Whereas, their Ponniyin Selvan I and II broke several box office records and emerged to be a commercially and critically successful film. PS I grossed Rs 450–500 crore worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2022, third-highest-grossing Indian film of 2022. The film is currently the fourth highest-grossing Tamil film of all time.

On the other hand, PS II grossed Rs 345 crore and is currently the third highest-grossing Tamil film of 2023 and one of the highest-grossing Tamil films worldwide. Both the parts of the film were made by Mani Ratnam.

Recently, Aishwarya and Vikram grabbed headlines for their off-screen chemistry at the SIIMA Awards 2024 that held in September in Dubai. For the event, Aish wore a stunning black and golden gown and Vikram, on the other hand picked an electric blue suit.
