He alleged that after his ouster from power, a conspiracy was hatched to murder him and his younger sister Sheikh Rehana. Sheikh Hasina told in an audio that if she had stayed for 20-25 more minutes at that time, anything could have happened to her.

This audio was posted on the social media of Bangladesh Awami League Party. Sheikh Hasina said that Rehana and she were saved from becoming victims of this conspiracy. His statement has heated up the political atmosphere.
