Fans have also raised questions on Rohit's captaincy on social media. However, former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has termed it wrong to raise questions on Rohit.

Speaking to a media group, former veteran batsman Shikhar Dhawan said, “The pressure that you all talk about is not something that we feel. However, there is pressure in sports, we do not focus on winning or losing. It's part of the game. As cricketers we don't think like this.” He said, “Rohit is a great leader. It is not just about winning and losing. The team has a bond with its leader.”
