Shikhar Dhawan engaged with girlfriend Sophie Shine: Had divorced Ayesha Mukherjee two and a half years ago

New Delhi. Former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has got engaged with girlfriend Sophie Shine. Dhawan gave this information to the fans through social media on Monday. Shikhar Dhawan shared a picture in an Instagram post, in which Sophie’s hands are seen with Dhawan. In this picture, an engagement ring is also visible on Shine’s finger.

“From sharing smiles to sharing dreams. Grateful for all the love, blessings and every good wish we have received for our engagement as we decide to be together forever,” Dhawan captioned the picture.

Shikhar Dhawan was first seen with Sophie Shine during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, after which the pair became a topic of discussion. After some time, Dhawan confirmed this relationship, after which Sophie and Dhawan started appearing together often on social media posts. Irish Product Consultant Sophie holds a Marketing and Management degree from Limerick Institute of Technology. Currently she is the Second Vice President of Northern Trust Corporation in Abu Dhabi.

Shikhar Dhawan had divorced Ayesha Mukherjee about two and a half years ago. During this, Dhawan alleged that he had to go through ‘mental torture’ because of Ayesha. Ayesha, who is 10 years older than Dhawan, is a kick boxer, who married the Indian cricketer in 2012. In the year 2021, Ayesha had given information about her separation from Dhawan on social media.

Shikhar Dhawan scored 2,315 runs with 7 centuries in 34 Test matches for India, while he scored 6,793 runs in 167 ODI matches with the help of 17 centuries and 39 half-centuries. At the same time, in 68 T20 matches, he has added 1,759 runs for India with an average of 27.92.
