Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty visited the Jagannath Temple in Puri today along with her family and offered prayers to Lord Jagannath.
She arrived at the Singhadwar in the morning under tight security, where her hereditary panda and temple administration welcomed her.
Shilpa entered the temple through Baishi Pahacha with her mother, Sunanda Shetty, family members Akanksha Agrawal, Ravi Kumar, and others. Inside the sanctum, she offered prayers to the Chaturdha Vigraha on the Ratna Singhasan and also worshipped Goddess Mahalaxmi.
The actress spent more than an hour inside the temple. After the darshan, she expressed joy and gratitude, saying, “It is Mahaprabhu’s call that brought me to Puri today. I feel blessed and delighted. Among the Char Dham pilgrimages, this is the greatest shrine. Jai Jagannath.”
Shilpa’s mother had previously visited the temple for darshan. The local administration extended full cooperation during the visit. A large crowd gathered near the Singhadwar to catch a glimpse of the actress.
