Shilpa Shinde’s opinion on the role of Angoori Bhabhi
In a recent interview, Shilpa Shinde expressed her views about Shubhangi Atre’s acting. He said, ‘As an actor I have always said that Shubhangi has done a good job. She is a good actress, but doing comedy is not for everyone. Shilpa made it clear that she never questioned Shubhangi’s hard work or talent.
Shilpa believes that comedy is a difficult category. He further said that copying someone else’s popular character is very challenging because there is a lot of pressure on it. He was pointing out that when an actor plays an already established role, there is a huge pressure of comparison.
Copy and original briefs
Shilpa also said that an actor does not get complete freedom while emulating an established character. According to him, ‘If Shubhangi had played an original character, she would have got more recognition.’ He says that no matter how good the acting is, the audience often considers it to be an imitation of the original character.
At the same time, Shubhangi Atre has also always been sharing credit for this character. In an old interview she had said that she wants to end this replacement game. He also told that this character was assigned to him as a responsibility.
