Shinsegae heiress-turned-idol Annie urges fans not to compare themselves to her curated perfect life videos
Annie, a member of K-pop group AllDay Project, has stressed that her social media posts capture only selected highlights of her life after some fans said they felt intimidated by her seemingly high-achieving daily routine.

According to The Korea TimesAnnie shared a vlog-style video on Instagram on Feb. 13 documenting her life in New York following her return to Columbia University for the spring semester. The video featured a tightly scheduled day of classes, workouts and self-care, drawing admiration from fans who described her routine as “god-tier productivity.”
She later addressed the response on a fan communication platform, expressing concern that younger followers in particular might compare themselves to what she described as a carefully edited portrayal.
“I only include the pretty and cool parts of my life in videos, and there are far more days that aren’t like that,” she said. “I also have many days where I do nothing and just stay in bed. Even today, it was the first time in two days that I got out of bed after feeling unmotivated.”
Annie shared that small steps helped her regain balance during low periods.
“I felt like I couldn’t keep going like that, so I exercised and did skincare after a few days, and it felt refreshing and really good,” she said.
She concluded by reiterating that her intention is to motivate, not pressure, her supporters.
Born Moon Seo Yoon, the 26-year-old idol is the great-granddaughter of Lee Byung Chul, founder of Samsung. Her mother Chung Yoo Kyung currently serves as president of Shinsegae Group.
