Shivam Dube Record: Shivam Dube created history, became the third Indian batsman to complete the fastest 1000 runs in T20I.

Lucknow/Belfast: India’s star all-rounder Shivam Dubey registered a big achievement in his name in the first T20 match played against Ireland in Belfast. During this match he completed 1000 runs in T20 International cricket. Dubey achieved this special milestone as soon as he scored the ninth run of his innings. With this, he left Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson behind in completing 1000 T20I runs in the fewest number of balls.

Completed 1000 T20I runs in just 648 balls

Shivam Dubey completed his 1000 runs in T20 International cricket in 648 balls. With this achievement, he has become the third batsman for India to score 1000 runs in the fewest number of balls. Earlier, Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson had touched this figure in 679 balls.

The record for scoring the fastest 1000 runs in T20 International for India is in the name of Abhishek Sharma, who achieved this feat in 528 balls. Suryakumar Yadav is at second place in this list, who completed 1000 runs in 573 balls.

Shivam Dubey’s performance in T20 International has been excellent

Shivam Dubey’s T20 International career has been consistently impressive. So far, he has scored 1016 runs in 49 innings of 65 matches at an average of 30.78 and strike rate of 154.64. During this period, he has scored 6 half-centuries with his bat. Apart from this, he has also hit 65 fours and 65 sixes. Dubey has also been a part of the Indian team that won the 2024 and 2026 T20 World Cups.

Played a quick inning of 25 runs in 14 balls in the first T20.

While chasing the target of 183 runs against Ireland, the Indian team lost five wickets till the score of 90 runs. In such challenging times, Shivam Dubey came out to bat and made an important partnership of 35 runs with Akshar Patel for the seventh wicket. However, both the players could not lead the team to victory.

Dubey batted aggressively and scored 25 runs in 14 balls. His innings included 2 sixes and 1 four. In the 16th over, Ireland’s bowler Jai Mundhra ended his innings by catching him on his own ball.
